Today we continued to review by taking a practice quiz and then updated our grade reports.
AIM: I will define and explain the importance of ice ages and list two legacies of them today.
Standard: 7.1.1 Follow the great changes that formed Earth and allowed human life to start.
Lesson Steps:
We started class by reviewing the Continental Drift Theory and also practicing the first two lines of our review song.
We then took a practice quiz to determine if we were ready to move on.

Next we reviewed our current grades and unveiled the progress board which will help students to keep track of their academic standing in our class. Afterward we started preparing our vocabulary understanding before reading the ice age handout. While students worked I graded the practice quiz and returned it to everyone.
Homework: Correct your practice quiz. If you lose your graded practice quiz, then print a copy of the quiz above and complete it for homework credit.

- I have been teaching at Paul Public Charter School for seven years and I love it! I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology from American University in 1997 and my Masters in Teaching Social Studies from Brown University in 2002. I also have a certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and I used this training to teach English as a Second Language in DC, New York City and also in Puebla, Mexico.
