Today we finished all presentations and then learned how to draw a mental map of the Middle East and Africa.
AIM: I will draw a ma of the Middle East and Africa while identifying 16 physical features.
Standard: Geography of Mesopotamia
Do Now:
1) Vocabulary term: A long period without rainfall.
2) Vocabulary term: Easy to get
3) Vocabulary term: To grow or rise.
4) How many years ago was 999 BCE?
Lesson Steps:
Some teams continued their presentations from yesterday and some teams also needed to redo their presentations too. We then had a brief discussion to see how many students would actually like to live in Mesopotamia. We then drew the mental map of the Middle East and Africa and labeled 16 features.
Homework: Draw a second mental map and bring in both to class tomorrow.

I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology from American University in 1997 and my Masters in Teaching Social Studies from Brown University in 2002.
