Today students presented their Mesopotamia versions of "House Hunters"
AIM: I will demonstrate my knowledge of 3-4 facts about Mesopotamia and 5 vocabulary words in my skit or cartoon.
Standard: Geography of Mesopotamia
Do Now:
1) Vocabulary term: To beat and control an enemy.
2) Vocabulary term: To prosper or flourish
3) Vocabulary term: A tall straw-like plant.
4) How many years ago was 1009 BCE?
Lesson Steps:
We finished our Do Nows and then went immediately into practicing for today's presentations. Students then presented their skits and we videotaped some of them. Some teams were also asked to review and update the skits to try again for tomorrow. We also did not get through all the skits so some teams will go tomorrow for the first time.
Homework: Redo skit if necessary and practice skit if you did not go today.

- I have been teaching at Paul Public Charter School for seven years and I love it! I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology from American University in 1997 and my Masters in Teaching Social Studies from Brown University in 2002.
