Today we took a practice quiz on the Ice Ages and also reviewed our first verse of the "Changes Through The Ages" song.
AIM: I will define and explain the importance of an ice age and list two legacies of it.
Standard: 7.1.1 Follow the great changes on Earth that allowed human life to start.
Lesson Steps:
Our Do Now today was a practice quiz that asked six questions about the ice ages. We then corrected the quizzes in class. Here is a copy of the questions:
1) Why do ice ages happen?
2) During an ice age, great sheets of ice spread out from what two areas of the world?
3) What happens when sea levels fall?
4) What word means "between ice ages?"
5) How thick did ice sheets become?
6) What are two legacies of the ice ages today?
We then reviewed the cause and effect chart and added our notes for the ice ages. Finally we reviewed the song and started some dance moves.
Homework:
Quiz tomorrow on AIMs 1, 2 and 3. Study all notes.
