Today we read the Ice Age handout and learned a new verse of the song.
AIM: I will explain and define the importance of the Ice Ages and list two legacies of them today.
Standard: 7.1.1 Follow the great changes that formed the Earth and allowed human life to start.
Lesson Steps:
We started the class by looking at photographs of glaciers and of Antarctica to preview the lesson. Next we went over the vocabulary words before reading the handout in groups. We also then went over the questions as a class. (See yesterday's handout for questions and vocabulary words.)

We then continued to learn the next verses of the song and reviewed the first two verses.
Homework: Complete the Cause and Effect chart about the Ice Ages which was distributed on September 10th. (If you do not have this handout, print it from September 10th posting.)
