Today we organized ourselves for the third advisory and also went over last week's BCR
AIM: I will determine my exam grade with 100% accuracy, reorganize my binder and finalize my change plan.
Do Now:
1) Who is the new Vice President?
2) Who is the Secretary of State?
3) Who is the new President?
4) What has come to Washington?
Lesson Steps: We finished our Do Nows and then looked at two copies of last week's BCRs. These example copies helped to point out the necessity of using facts from the text and also how the structure of the MEAL paragraph helps to fully answer a question. Students then got back their exams and calculated their grades. They then had to find the problems they got wrong and then explain why they got them wrong. Next students cleaned out their notebooks and added second advisory papers to the file cabinet drawer for our study at the end of the year. Students then were given their change pledge paper to complete for homework.
Homework: Write down the pledge that you hope to keep over the next 100 days. Be specific and show it to your parents.
