Quiz Preparation

Today we prepared for tomorrow's quiz by reviewing vocabulary terms and our practice quiz from Monday.

AIM: I will list three three adaptations of humans that support Darwin's Theory of Evolution.

Standard: 7.1.1 Follow the great changes that shaped the Earth and allowed human life to start.

Do Now:
1) Vocabulary term: To run quickly and lightly."
2) Vocabulary term: "Mammals with opposable thumbs."
3) Vocabulary term: "Organ that secretes liquid."
4) What are two things humans developed in order to walk on two feet?

Lesson Steps:
Once we finished the Do Now we reviewed the practice quiz from Monday and made sure that everyone had answered all remaining questions. We then played a game of vocabulary "Around the World" in which students had to be the first to remember the name of a vocabulary term when I read off the definition. The winning student would then travel to the next student and continue the vocabulary challenge. Once we finished this game we reviewed our song that covers the Big Bang to the Ice Ages. There will be a few review questions that relate to this song in tomorrow's quiz.

Study for tomorrow's quiz by reviewing vocabulary cards, our first content quiz and also on all handouts that relate to evolution.
